MSEI Introduces F&O Contracts on 6 Securities
The Metropolitan Stock Exchange of India (MSEI) has announced the introduction of Futures and Options (F&O) contracts on six additional individual securities, as per its circular dated October 15, 2026. The move will expand the list of stocks available for derivatives trading on the exchange, subject to the applicable eligibility conditions.
Which Six Stocks Are Included?
The new F&O contracts will cover the following securities:
Coromandel International Limited (COROMANDEL)
City Union Bank Limited (CUB)
Data Patterns (India) Limited (DATAPATTNS)
Karur Vysya Bank Limited (KARURVYSYA)
Navin Fluorine International Limited (NAVINFLUOR)
Syrma SGS Technology Limited (SYRMA)
Trading Start Date and Eligibility Conditions
According to the circular, trading in these contracts is scheduled to commence on October 28, 2026. The introduction is subject to the securities meeting the applicable eligibility criteria under the quarterly sigma computation cycle for October 2026. Therefore, the planned start date is conditional on fulfilment of these requirements.
When Will Market Lot Details Be Available?
MSEI has stated that the market lot sizes for the six securities will be communicated to members through a separate circular on October 27, 2026, one day before the scheduled trading commencement. Traders and market participants should refer to the exchange’s official announcements for the final contract specifications and any further updates.
What Does This Mean for Market Participants?
Futures and Options contracts allow eligible market participants to take positions based on the future price movements of underlying securities. The addition of these stocks broadens the range of individual securities planned for derivatives trading on MSEI and gives market participants more instruments to consider.
However, derivatives involve substantial risk and may result in significant losses. The announcement itself does not indicate how much trading activity the new contracts will attract or how the stocks will perform.
